OSA – New Breakthrough Mineral For Lowering Blood Pressure

Japanese scientists form Okinawa (the region with longevity population) has discovered that soluble silicon or orthosilicic acid (OSA) can suppress high blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats. This was revealed in a recent paper “ Soluble silica and coral sand suppress high blood pressure and improve the related aortic gene expressions in spontaneously hypertensive rats “ published in the prestigious journal, Nutrition Research 31 (2011) 147 – 156.

A United States Patent, “ Agent for Suppressing Blood Pressure Elevation” was issued on 5 April 2011.

Comment:

This finding is not surprising as OSA is known to be beneficial for blood vessels and other connective tissues. In fact, way back as 1977, researchers had found inverse relation of silicon in drinking water and atherosclerosis in Finland (see Lancet 1977 March 5; 1 (8010) : 538 – 9).

They suggested that the silicon (OSA) in drinking water may prevent atherosclerosis (heart attack). Interestingly, the researchers also postulated that the increased frequency of atherosclerosis and hypertension (high blood pressure) all over the world, could be due to the lack of silicon (OSA) in refined and processed foods that we consumed.

One of the smart way to ensure you get enough silicon (OSA) is to drink silicon (OSA) rich natural mineral water. Apart from satisfying your hydration needs, you get the functional benefits of OSA.

Spritzer Natural Mineral Water is recognized by the University of London and Keele University from United Kingdom (UK) to be naturally rich in OSA.

So ensure you get your 8 glasses of water per day (2 litres) by drinking SPRITZER – the Silicon (OSA) Rich Mineral Water.
